Alliance Nepal is working with LI-BIRD to provide vocational training to 300 youths in 6 vocational skills with short-term duration of 160 hours. It is applying CTEVT and VSDTC (under Ministry of Labor and Employment) curricula and adapting for not available ones using the 390 hours curricula from both agencies. Training programs are on-going in Butwal, Ghorahi, Nepalgunj, Surkhet and Dhangadi. Training is being provided by the local Technical Training Providers (TTPs). Alliance Nepal provides backstopping support mobilizing its 4 Program Support Officers (PSOs). Safety protocol compliance including daily temperature-check is happening in all locations. Covid-19 has not added any sufferings so far. It is targeted for the migrant returnees and will be completed by next fortnight. It was a short and quick intervention needed by the youth living with the uncertainty and dilemma for the future (08 August – 15 Oct, 2021) due to Covid-19 pandemic.
