Supporting TTPs in their institutional development initiatives is another domain of the support being provided by Alliance Nepal. Such initiatives for institutional development are focused on Rapid Market Assessment (RMA) skills, database development and management on courses, trainees and employers; network among the possible employers, On-the-job training (OJT), post-employment monitoring, counseling skills to the trainers for pre-during-post training stages, life skills, code of conduct etc. They are basically the skills needed for maintaining quality of vocational and technical education in order to enhance employability and productivity of their graduates. AN has been working with various organizations like: SDC (Training for Employment, TfE), USAID (Education for Income Generation, EIG), Asian Development Bank, ILO, Helvetas Nepal etc. At present Alliance Nepal is working as the “Network Manager” of the 62 partner TTPs working since January 2000. Alliance Nepal promoted a concept of “Voc-Path” for developing career in vocational and technical skills domains which are being promoted by 62 partner TTPs. So far, thousands of people are in the employment after being trained in about 41 occupational trades. The major indicator of the successful training had been proven to be 80% employment result.
